The Belmont Swansea United Soccer Club was formed on 1935 under the name of the Blacksmiths Rangers.

The Club changed its name in 1956 after promotion from the Hunter Valley competition to Northern New South Wales Second Division.

The idea of the name change was instigated, so that one club could represent the East Lakes areas in First Division Football.

Promotion to First Division was in 1967 and the club won Grand-Finals 1970, 1977, and 1978. The club also participated in the Northern New South Wales State First Division in 1981, 1982 and 1983.

In 1985, the club took out the premiership in First Division and in 1986 the club won the Grand Final. In 1992 the club was relegated to second division and were runners up in 1993.
